Missions Talk

You need a way to learn more about mission agencies? Reaching & Teaching has partnered with 9Marks on the production of an episodic podcast, Missions Talk. Missions Talk will be a regular conversation about the biblical and practical elements of missiology as well as explain the too-often-overlooked connection between healthy churches and global missions.

Reaching & Teaching Who?

Reaching & Teaching aims to make mature disciples, establish healthy churches, and train local leaders. Their mission is to advance the gospel worldwide through long-term missionary mobilization, short-term theological training trips, ministry internships, and strategic church partnerships.

Since 2009, Reaching & Teaching has worked to meet the enormous need for healthy churches and theological training around the world through long-term sending and short-term training. Their missionaries are committed to seeing biblical churches established that prioritize covenant membership and expositional preaching led by qualified elders.

Their President, Ryan Robertson, has served in executive leadership positions for public companies and other non-profit organizations, and has been a board member of several different charities. He currently serves as an elder at Third Avenue Baptist Church. Ryan has served as president since April 2020.

Two of our very own EBC members, Jared and Laurie Garcia, are with Reaching & Teaching to serve as missionaries in the Philippines, launching in 2023/2024.

WELL, HOW CAN I LISTEN?

If you wish to tune-in to their enlightening discussions, you can find them on Apple Podcasts, Deezer, and Spotify. Their first episode, On the Reasons We Started Missions Talk, will give a brief summary of each person’s background in the discussion and why they wanted to bring these subjects to light.

We hope you’ll find this helpful in learning more about the importance of mission work and how we can better pray for those currently serving, and trying to serve, in other parts of the world to spread the Gospel.
