A note about this Sunday

Dear EBC Flock:

We are still planning on meeting tomorrow (Sunday, March 15) for all our normal services.

We will continue to monitor the ongoing health situation.

On Friday around 5:30 pm, the SC Governor and Dr. Linda Bell, the SC epidemiologist of DHEC, held a press conference. At that time, they stated that they did not recommend that churches close. If this changes, so will we.

We will meet as elders tomorrow afternoon and determine what other steps we should take in the coming week(s), from SG and FBT classes to our corporate prayer and worship services. Pray for us. We are praying for you.

If you are not comfortable with coming tomorrow, please don’t feel guilty about that at all and please stay at home. (If you are ill, or think you might be, certainly stay at home, and seek medical care where appropriate.) Others are anxious and heavy-hearted and want and need to gather tomorrow.

So, Beloved, at all times, and especially a time like this, “let us love another earnestly from a pure heart,” and “bear one-another’s burdens” (1 Pet 1:22; Gal 6:2). It’s a wonderful time to be Christian. He will hold us fast.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.

Psalm 46:1–3

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all,

Pastor Brad
